ML pays tributes to Afzal Guru, Maqbool Bhat | KNO

Srinagar, February 08 (KNO) : Muslim League on Friday paid tributes to Mohammad Afzal Guru and Muhammad Maqbool Bhat on their anniversaries. According to a statement issued to KNO, ML General Secretary, M. Rafiq Ganaie said that “the martyrdom of Afzal Guru and Maqbool Bhat were unique and exceptional as these sacrifices breathed a new life in Kashmir’s struggle." "Their martyrdom anniversaries remind us of the supreme sacrifices that these heroes of our nation have given. Kashmir struggle remains alive by remembering these supreme sacrifices,” he said, adding that sacrifices of these great heroes will always remain a beacon light for Kashmiri nation. “These heroes are now pioneer and symbol of resistance for youth in Jammu and Kashmir and their hanging has rejuvenated the movement and infused a new sprit in ongoing freedom movement,” he said. Reaffirming his faith, Ganaie has declared that despite all odds the movement would be taken to its logical end. “Indian not only hanged these Kashmiris at gallows but also has kept their mortal remains under its custody till now,” he said.(KNO)
